Salesforce Version Control – Move Force.com code to Bitbucket using Eclipse , Force.com IDE, EGIT (Part -1)
You will find step-by-step instructions on how you can do version controlling using Eclipse, EGIT and BitBucket in this blog.
Let’s first Set Force.com IDE plugin in Eclipse
Step 1: Download and install JAVA Development Kit(JDK), Runtime 8 or later
Step 2: Now download and Install Eclipse
Step 3: Launch Eclipse
Step 4: Setup Workspace
Step 5: Click on Help and then Install New Software (Install Force.com IDE)
Step 6: You need to click Add button now
Step 7: Set the Name as Force.com IDE and location as
Step 8: Press OK, You will see below screen. Select Force.com IDE
Step 9: You can select what you want to install and click Next
Step 10: Review and Click Next
Step 11: License Review box will appear, review, accept and click Finish
Step 12: Force.com IDE will be installed and popup will appear to restart Eclipse. Click YES.
Step 13: When Eclipse restarts, Click Window and then Select Perspective and Click Other.
Step 14: Choose Force.com and then click OK.
Congratulation! You installed Force.com IDE
